Ár nDraíocht Féin (ADF): Unified Website, Member Portal & LMS for a Global Druid Fellowship

ADF partnered with TAF Solutions to move from a legacy site at adf.org to a modern digital home at new.adf.org — creating a unified public website, member portal, and learning platform powered by BuddyBoss, LearnDash, and MemberDash. The result is a more welcoming public experience and a deeply integrated study and community space for members worldwide.

How TAF Solutions helped ADF build a digital temple

1 · Public website redesign

From legacy site to modern welcome space

  • Re-imagined the front-end experience moving from the legacy adf.org layout to a modern, mobile-responsive design at new.adf.org.
  • Designed a homepage that quickly answers: “What is Druidry?”, “What is ADF?”, and “How do I get started?”
  • Implemented clear visual pathways to Explore, Connect, and Training content.
  • Built content blocks for community, ritual, study, and events so communications staff can easily update the site.
  • Improved accessibility and readability to better support seekers and long-time members alike.
2 · Member portal & permissions

Structuring community access & leadership tools

  • Implemented MemberDash membership tiers for administration, leadership, and general members.
  • Mapped member roles to specific capabilities: viewing documents, accessing training, moderating forums, and publishing content.
  • Configured BuddyBoss to host community spaces, with options to integrate existing forums or link to external ones as needed.
  • Created private member-only pages for educational resources, leadership materials, and internal communications.
  • Enabled member-generated content submissions with review workflows before publishing to the public site.
3 · LMS & training ecosystem

Bringing ADF study programs into LearnDash

  • Configured LearnDash to host structured courses for Hearth Keepers, Dedicants, Guilds, Initiates, and Clergy candidates.
  • Set up lessons, topics, quizzes, and completion requirements aligned with ADF’s existing study framework.
  • Created custom reporting views and forms to help leadership track progress, engagement, and completion rates.
  • Migrated key instructional content and course data from the previous platform into LearnDash.
  • Delivered administrator and leadership training so ADF can independently create, update, and manage new courses.

Implementation, migration, and future support

Beyond building the new platform, TAF Solutions worked with ADF to carefully transition content and people into the new ecosystem while planning for long-term care of the site.

  • Content migration plan prioritized training materials, core rituals, and reference content that members rely on most.
  • Hands-on training sessions equipped administrators and program leaders to manage members, courses, and communications without needing constant developer involvement.
  • Post-implementation support was scoped as a follow-on agreement, ensuring ADF can access ongoing technical and strategic help after launch.

Member migration, security & identity integration

The ADF digital transformation required not only a new platform, but also the secure migration and onboarding of their entire membership base. TAF Solutions ensured that ADF’s transition to the new system supported all users across roles and technical abilities while meeting modern security standards.

  • Migrated 1,000+ active members from the legacy website and membership system into the new WordPress/BuddyBoss + MemberDash environment.
  • Configured OTP (One-Time Password) verification during login to strengthen user authentication and protect member data.
  • Implemented Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to ensure that all administrator and leadership access met enhanced security requirements.
  • Integrated LDAP-based authentication using miniOrange Identity & Security plugins, enabling enterprise-grade login flows and centralized credential management.
  • Streamlined user roles and permissions so that migrated members automatically received appropriate access (administrators, leadership, general members).
  • Ensured a smooth onboarding experience with clear login instructions, automated password reset workflows, and support for members encountering login issues.
  • Validated user records to ensure course progress, membership timestamps, and role assignments successfully carried over to the new system.
